The main continent;
The continent of Riva is where all the technological advances have happened, and it simply one large land mass surrounded by water. (Landmass wise it is roughly the size of US + Canada) As of yet, those who leave the main continent in search of new lands, never seem to return.

The capital city;
Rivian, the largest city on the entire continent of Riva, is the center of most technological advances. People who want to get cybernetic implants go here, as this is where they were first made, and are all imported from here. The largest building in the city is a tall thirty story tower which belongs to the Faris Industries, the largest company in Riva. They deal in more or less everything, and have influence in most towns and cities. They are also the ones who are funding the building of the frigate set out to sail for new lands in Kante.

The port town;
Kante is the largest port town of Riva. A good deal east of the capital city, it is a center for commerce and trade. It is also where those who dare to try and travel in search of new lands go to acquire ships and supplies. They are currently in development of a large frigate, which is due to set sail in search of new lands some time soon. It has become quite a tourist attraction to see it being built, and many ambitious people try to become part of the crew.

Timeline and technology:

The world this will all take place in an alternate timeline of sorts. The technological advancements as I mentioned, are a bit ahead of our actual times, to a mixed degree. Cybernetics are a common thing for disabled people who can afford them, or just want a bit of a improved body or something along those lines. Cloning is also another thing that is around in this world; however it isn’t exactly popular, as some clones aren’t exactly perfect. It is rare in the case that a cloning attempt is 100% exact to the original person trying to be cloned. Car’s still are on wheels, there aren’t any fabled ‘flying cars’ in this RP universe. Guns are more or less as they are; there are no laser guns or nothing, at least not any that aren’t mere prototypes that are under heavily development. Oddly, there is no form of air transportation in this world, other then blimps, and those aren’t even that durable. Boats however, are abundant. However, few have dared to sail out in search of new lands. They are strictly for fishing purposes.

People:

Lyle D. Faris;
The founder of the Faris Industries, he is considered by many to be one of the most powerful men in Riva. However he isn’t the type to abuse his power, and mainly tries to think of what is best for the world around him. Lyle has recently been away from the main office of Faris Industries, and has been over seeing work in Kante.

Eric D. Faris;
The son of Lyle, who’s mother died giving birth to him, is a bit less generous then his father. While his father deals with most things that would be considered good, Eric is almost completely opposite, and likes to dabble in the less savory things. Weaponry, illegal cybernetics, illegal cloning; these are just an example of the things he enjoys to take part in. He currently is in charge of the main office of Faris Industries, with his father’s secretary watching over him, to keep an eye on him of sorts.
